Update to Strictly Come Dancing as a show for a different look this weekend

Strictly Come Dancing will be back this weekend – but it will be slightly different when the stars perform their routines for Movie Week.

McFly star Tom Fletcher and dance partner Amy Dowden will make their Strictly return with a jive at Back To The Future’s Johnny B Goode after testing positive for coronavirus.

On Saturday, the 36-year-old singer and guitarist will channel Marty McFly, the character who inspired his band’s name, during Movie Week.

He will perform the 1958 rock and roll of Chuck Berry after missing the last show by isolating himself.

The couple couldn’t train together for 10 days, and Tom missed McFly’s touring performance on Sunday night.

However, they worked on their routine via video call, with Tom sharing a photo from their sessions on Monday night.

Elsewhere, AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington will dance American sweetness to I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston from The Bodyguard, Greg Wise and Karen Hauer will perform the James Bond-themed paso doble, and John Whaite and Johannes Radebe will speak. for a paso doble to He’s A Pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Other films will be presented, including Sleeping Beauty, Shrek, Titanic and Cruella.

Tom and Amy addressed a cha-cha in September through Earth, Wind & Fire in the 2021 series’ Strictly Come Dancing first live show the night before they tested positive.

Actress Nina Wadia became the first candidate eliminated last weekend.
