The doubleheader is a rare treat for fans as it will feature all the beloved performing arts elements such as opera, popular music, OPM and orchestral music.

Ballet Manila returns to live performance at the newly renovated Aliw Theater with Rise!, a double bill that includes a Ballet & Ballads pop program and a retelling of the opera La Traviata in ballet choreographed by Lisa Macuja Elizalde.

While Ballet Manila’s moving performance is the centerpiece of the show, Rise! also includes the highly respected maestro Gerard Salonga as musical director and conductor, one of the country’s finest singers, Bituin Escalante, and award-winning opera singer Jade Riccio.

These eminent artists are supported by a powerful creative team, led by prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde as general artistic director, theater artist Michael Williams as director, playwright Luna Inocian as screenwriter and Gerardo Francisco Jr. and Martin Lawrance as choreographers.

There is also a 12-person opera ensemble and a bespoke 60-piece orchestra hand-picked by Maestro Salonga himself.

To go up! will take place on October 7 at 8:00 p.m. and October 9 at 5:00 p.m. at the Aliw Theater. Tickets are available exclusively through Ticketworld. Visit www.ticketworld.com.ph or call 8891 9999.
